With the death of Osama bin Laden there is much debate about whether or not the world is a safer place. Some argue that bin Laden's death will help to curb terrorist attacks. Others disagree with the idea that killing bin Laden will mean fewer terrorist attacks.

With Osama bin Ladens death I think that the world is a safer place because with him around he could still rain over others. He could make another disaster like 9/11 again. SInce his death there might be more deaths but my opinion is that its better that he is dead. Lets more citizens worry about something else that us as people can resolve and keep this world moving toward a better place.
ReplyDeleteThe president said that their was a dog fight lasting about 40 minutes no Americans were killed and we asked if Bin laden if we could take him alive. We ended up shooting him and Obama said that it make's this world a safer place

ReplyDeleteObama set the operation in to effect on may 2nd 2011 , U.S. Navy SEAL team 6 was chosen to kill the most wanted man in the world. the killing of Osama is justified in the sense that he was not a muslim leader but rather a mass murder of muslims and innocent people. the news came over every local channel on tv. at first i thought it was a joke but i know now its true , the death of bin laden has avenged the deaths of the victims of 9/11. the death of him has made the world a better safer place. there will always be another most wanted such as Hitler in world war two or fedel castero in Cuba, there will be always be another and with NATO the bad guys will fall again.
ReplyDeleteBin ladens death does not mean it is a safer world because there is going to be reparations from his followers. I believe that there is going to be stepped up terrorism acts from Al Qaeda and we need to be ready for counter terrorism acts. They have already uncovered plans to attack the U.S. in his compound, which were scheduled to take place on the anniversary of 9/11 and it was supposed to be as big and hit the U.S. as hard as the 9/11 attack did. They also uncovered other plans to attack other city's in the U.S. I just wonder how Pakistan didn't know that bin laden was hiding pretty much in plain sight and how they would have never guessed he was in that mansion. Obama does deserve some of the credit for being the man that has authorized the operation, but I believe the real credit should go to seal team 6 which was the muscles that made the operation happen and have no American casualties. The seal that killed Osama should be given the Medal of Honor because he killed the most wanted and hated man in the world. One thing I wish they would do is release just a little bit of the video to se what it looked like in side the compound, and how they navigated through the compound. I understand why the white house does not want to release the pictures because it will cause a big commotion and we do not want that. But hopefully they do release a little bit of the video just to see what it looked like.

ReplyDeleteThe death of Usama Bin Laden is the United State's biggest victory and step forward in The War On Terrorism to date. Although he had no major authority of Al Qaeda and Taliban strategy and tactics in Afghanistan he is still is the founder of Al Qaeda and it's political figure head. His death makes no difference strategically, in the War On Terror but this is a serious blow to the morale and will to fight for Al Qaeda's members. This does not mean the end of the war, however it is a great strive in our ultimate goal of a successful exit strategy for Afghanistan, that strategy being handing over all military and political movements to the Afghan people, with out U.S. or NATO assistance.
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt Al Qaeda will retaliate, the repercussions for Usama's death could potentially be catastrophic. like i stated before Usama had no real control over Al Qeada military operation due to his isolation and the on going largest manhunt in modern history for him. He has already been replace already I am sure, with even more sinister and radical Muslim and Jihad idealists. These new leaders will continue to wage war on the world without a doubt. But the ideology of Al Qeada is loosing its popularity in the middle east and around the world. Especially in wake of the recent middle eastern uprisings, in which the people are DEMANDING a democratic form of government as opposed the the previous dictatorships and toletarian societies they lived with or decades. I believe the middle east will no longer be an incubator for the Al Qeada's western and democratic hatred oriented ideas.
Seal Team Six's 24 operators actions were absolutely justified in Pakistan. Pakistan refused to release details that would aid to Bin Laden's capture. They instead continued to accept millions in foreign aid they essentially were "riding the money train." Despite Pakistan's sovereignty Obama's decision to infiltrate Pakistan was the right decision, morally, politically, and strategically. The world is a better place with thedeath of the architect of the collapse of two certain towers at ground zero and the death of nearly 3,000 on that dark september day. Not to mention the additional 6,00o plus death american deaths in The War On Terrorism. His death is a great, great thing for the world, regardless of ethnicity,or what god one prays too, or what political border one calls home. Usama Bin Laden's death has bettered the world forever.
